Dear Railfan community,
The Reading & Northern Railroad in conjunction with the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway has in the past, as is still, making a concerted effort to afford the fans, enthusiasts & photographers among you, a wide variety of steam locomotive opportunities for cab rides, regular rides, open air coach rides & of course many photo opportunities. These varied opportunities allow young & old alike to relive the exciting & historic days of “steam” – an era long gone. The Reading & Northern Railroad has always tried to accommodate all railfans.
Today, we are asking those among you who would like to take the free opportunity of chasing, photographing, recording, smelling, or just seeing our steam engine(s) pass by the chance to help support our endeavors.
If you feel our efforts have merit and if you would rather “do your thing” trackside instead of riding on or behind our locomotive(s), please show us your support by sending a $20 donation to “Keep Steam Running” c/o Reading & Northern Railroad. This will let us know you are behind us in every way.
